Aurora has been family-owned since 1917 and run by the Aukenthaler family since 1964. Lobby and restaurant were redesigned by Hannes Peer and feld72 built the extension. The hotel sits between the river Passer and the city centre of Merano, with Restaurant Arté, Aurora Café, a Listening Bar and an art programme.
